My preliminary task was to create a short film my group got assigned the genre of musical this was hard to do as we were not very familiar with all of the aspects a musical and found it complicated to be able to lip sync the lyrics with the footage and allow it to make sense and the narrative to not be all over the place. Our idea was the typical teen romance cheesy storyline that would be in a musical, it was based around a couple, the male was caught cheating on the female with another girl, she than ran of in floods of tears crying and 'singing' to her friend who confuted her and they spoke about what had gone on, the film then progresses and the couple are seen running towards each other in an attempt to make a mend.

this shows students walking down the hallway on the way to their lesson. It allows the audience to see where the film is set, and get an idea of what to expect (a high school romance) the shot is a high angle shot it is very shaky and unclear the camera skills I had back then are far worse than now this is probably the main reason for the footage being so shaky.
This is the second scene in our film it shows the main character Lucy walking down the hall once it has been cleared of students

this is the following scene where she discovers that her boyfriend James is with another girl. this scene was really cheesy as the idea if cheating consisted of two people 'hugging' this was to make sure that it was suitable for our target audience and that it didn't contain any explicit content.
